Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita's Minneapolis Uptown Dialysis Center. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of building the greatest healthcare community in the world.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As a PCT, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, and educating patients on kidney dialysis-related topics.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Measure and record patient statistics, observations, and hemodialysis machine setup
- Educate patients on kidney dialysis-related topics
- Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of clinicians, including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Desire to enter the healthcare field and care for others
- Comfortable working around blood and needles
- Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Physical and mental ability to work long hours on your feet
