In this pivotal role, reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Vice President of Community Inclusion and Engagement will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing and advocating for community involvement. This position is crucial in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) within Nhcchq and the broader communities we impact.
Strategic Development & Implementation
Craft and execute a robust strategy for community involvement and DEIB initiatives that align with the organization's core mission and values. This role is essential in fostering an inclusive workplace that welcomes and values all employees. The strategy will reflect Nhcchq's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and a strong sense of belonging across the organization.
Engagement with Stakeholders & Community Relations
Build and nurture positive relationships with key stakeholders, including employees and community organizations, to advance community initiatives and partnerships. This role will also involve organizing impactful community events that benefit employees, the organization, and the local community.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging
Lead the development and execution of the DEIB strategy, focusing on fostering inclusive employee engagement, cultivating a diverse workforce, and enhancing community health outcomes. Collaborate with leadership to establish annual metrics and inspire teams across the organization to fulfill our DEIB commitments.
Community Board Engagement
Work alongside the executive leadership team to identify community boards that align with our strategic priorities and provide career development opportunities for emerging talent.
Reputation Management
In collaboration with the Strategic Communications team, devise strategies and messaging that effectively communicate Nhcchq's impact in DEIB and community engagement to targeted audiences.
Research & Best Practices
Stay abreast of emerging trends, research, and best practices in community engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within the healthcare sector.
Leadership & Guidance
Provide visionary leadership to Nhcchq and its stakeholders, fostering a culture committed to community engagement and DEIB. Oversee philanthropic initiatives, including charitable contributions and employee volunteer programs, that resonate with the organization's values.
Education & Development
Design and implement educational programs and training initiatives that enhance awareness and understanding of DEIB issues. Collaborate across various functions to embed diverse educational strategies and create an inclusive employee experience.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborative leadership style with a knack for connecting stakeholders to organizational initiatives.
