Reports to: Will Cleveland

Pay Type: Hourly

Wage: $ 25.19

Job Overview:
This position involves a variety of tasks related to the melt and pour process, ensuring high-quality production standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pouring:
    Ensure accurate weight and clamp placement according to mold specifications.
    Conduct thorough inspections of sprue and risers, removing any debris.
    Interpret master documents for specific requirements and instructions.
    Utilize proper pouring techniques to maintain quality.
  • Ladle Maintenance:
    Prepare ladles for use by safely lighting preheaters.
    Perform necessary repairs or replacements on ladle linings.
  • Furnace Assistance:
    Utilize heat logs to weigh and prepare raw materials.
    Deliver materials to designated areas in accordance with planned production schedules.
  • Melt Scheduling:
    Organize molds for specified alloys and quantities.
    Document pouring temperatures and maintain accurate logs.
  • Melting Operations:
    Verify charge materials against logs.
    Conduct melting processes in accordance with established procedures.
  • General Duties:
    Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
    Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Skills: Proficiency in basic arithmetic and the ability to comprehend shop documentation.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment: Typical foundry conditions.
