Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Life Sciences Product Specialist. This position is integral to our Life Science sales and marketing initiatives, as well as product Research & Development (R&D) and customer support activities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Life Science team and the Vice President of Marketing & Sales to drive our objectives forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and expand the sales of our Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) products, Histology instruments, and other Life Science imaging solutions.
  • Gain expertise in our PELCO BioWave product line to aid in product development, sales, and customer support.
  • Stay informed about cutting-edge technologies and share insights with relevant internal teams.
  • Engage in the development of Life Science products that we design, manufacture, or resell.
  • Work with the Graphics department to create marketing materials, including product videos, social media content, and trade show displays.
  • Produce manuals, updates, and technical documentation to support our Life Science customers and online resources.
  • Oversee product quotation processes and follow up with customers to facilitate sales.
  • Assist in formulating sales forecasts for designated product categories.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and dealers regarding Life Science products.
  • Participate in trade show preparations and represent the company at these events.
  • Collaborate with team members on product applications and development projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Histology, including knowledge of specimen preparation techniques.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, consumables, and techniques related to both electron and light microscopy.
  • Experience with ultramicrotomes, rotary microtomes, cryostats, and vibratory slicers is essential.
  • Knowledge in areas such as Pathology, Neuroscience, and Immunology is preferred.
  • Experience in Cryo Electron Microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) is advantageous.
  • Public speaking and meeting leadership experience are beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in current versions of Windows and MS Office applications is required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for trade shows and client engagements.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with standard hours from Monday to Friday, with potential weekend and evening commitments for trade shows and travel.
