Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Life Sciences Product Specialist. This position demands a minimum of 5 years of comprehensive laboratory experience, particularly in Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Histology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and expand sales of our Life Science-related products, including Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) instruments, Histology supplies, and Light Microscope products.
- Engage with our PELCO BioWave product line to facilitate product development, sales initiatives, and customer support.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in technology and share insights with the internal team.
- Participate in the development of Life Science products, both proprietary and those sourced from other manufacturers.
- Collaborate with the Graphics department to create marketing materials, including product videos, social media content, and trade show displays.
- Produce technical documentation, including manuals and updates, to support our Life Science clientele.
- Oversee product quotation processes and follow up with customers to drive sales.
- Assist in forecasting sales for relevant product categories.
- Provide technical assistance to customers and dealers regarding Life Science products.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of trade shows, representing the company effectively.
- Work collaboratively with team members on product applications and development projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or a related discipline is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Histology, including knowledge of specimen preparation techniques.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is essential.
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, consumables, and sample preparation for microscopy.
- Experience with ultramicrotomes, rotary microtomes, cryostats, and vibratory slicers is preferred.
- Knowledge in areas such as Pathology, Neuroscience, and Immunology is advantageous.
- Experience in Cryo Electron Microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) is a plus.
- Public speaking experience and meeting facilitation skills are desirable.
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage projects and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office software is necessary.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for trade shows and client engagements.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with standard working hours from Monday to Friday.
