Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Life Sciences Product Specialist. This position entails significant responsibilities in sales and marketing within the Life Sciences domain, alongside product Research & Development (R&D) and support activities. The successful candidate will provide essential product support to our international customer base and collaborate closely with the Life Science team and the Vice President of Marketing & Sales to meet our objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and expand sales of our Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) products, Histology instruments, and other Life Science imaging solutions.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of our PELCO BioWave product line to facilitate product development, sales, and customer support.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in related technologies and communicate updates to relevant internal teams.
  • Engage in the development of Life Science products, both proprietary and those we distribute.
  • Collaborate with the Graphics department to create marketing materials, product videos, social media content, and trade show displays.
  • Produce manuals, updates, and technical documentation to support Life Science customers and enhance our online resources.
  • Oversee product quotation processes and follow up with customers to drive sales.
  • Assist in forecasting sales for relevant product categories.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and dealers regarding Life Science products.
  • Participate in the preparation and execution of Life Science-related trade shows, representing the company effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with team members on product applications and development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Histology, including instrument operation and specimen preparation techniques.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, consumables, and sample preparation techniques for both electron and light microscopy.
  • Experience with ultramicrotomes, rotary microtomes, cryostats, and vibratory slicers is essential.
  • Knowledge in Pathology, Neuroscience, and Immunology is advantageous.
  • Experience with Cryo Electron Microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) is preferred.
  • HTL Certification through ASCP and Certification in Biological TEM through MSA are highly desirable.
  • Strong public speaking skills and experience leading meetings are beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage projects and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Fluency in English for both written and verbal communication is necessary.
  • Proficiency in current versions of Windows and MS Office applications is required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for trade shows, client meetings, and workshops.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position requiring in-person attendance.
