Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pre-Analytic Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at MaineHealth. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day supervision to the pre-analytic laboratory team, ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the pre-analytic laboratory team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of laboratory results.
  • Develop and maintain training programs for laboratory staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Certification as a Phlebotomist and/or Medical Laboratory Assistant required.
  • 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Laboratory Assistant required; previous lead or supervisor experience preferred.
  • Ability to work night shift hours (11:00pm to 7:00am) required.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
