Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at NorDx. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of laboratory testing. Your primary responsibilities will include specimen collection, processing, and handling, as well as maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform routine laboratory tasks, including centrifugation, aliquoting, and labeling of specimens.
  • Assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, including proficiency testing and internal audits.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory and meet productivity standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • License/Certifications: PBT/MLA certification preferred. Acceptable certification agencies: ASCP, AMT, NHA.
  • Experience: Must have technical training as a Phlebotomist (through NorDx Phlebotomy School or equivalent program).
