Job Title: Member Representative III

**Job Summary:**

The Member Representative III is a key member of the West Community Credit Union team, responsible for providing exceptional member service and support. This role requires a strong understanding of credit union products and services, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Member Service: Identify and cross-sell appropriate deposit, loan, and digital products by assessing members' financial needs and offering suitable solutions.
  • Product Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of credit union products and services, including deposit, loan, and digital offerings.
  • Loan Processing: Take consumer and home equity applications, process loans, prepare loan documents, and close loans.
  • Account Maintenance: Perform account maintenance and account changes, including opening, closing, and maintaining IRA/HSA accounts.
  • Teller Transactions: Process teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Team Support: Assist team members with loan closings and member inquiries.
  • Goal Achievement: Meet individual and credit union goals on a consistent basis, following established Values-Based service goals.
  • Member Satisfaction: Ensure that members' requests and questions are promptly and courteously resolved.
  • Professional Reputation: Maintain and project the Credit Union's professional reputation, ensuring the confidentiality of member account information.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on credit union regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly.
  • Cross-Selling: Actively and professionally cross-sell Credit Union services.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform related clerical duties accurately.
  • Work Environment: Ensure that the work area is clean and well-maintained, adhering to the Clean Desk Policy.
Performance Measurements:
  • Member service functions are efficiently, effectively, and accurately performed in accordance with established policies, standards, and security procedures.
  • Good business relations exist with members, with member problems or questions being courteously and promptly resolved.
  • Good working relationships and coordination exist with area personnel and Management, with appropriate assistance provided to area staff as needed.
  • Required reports and records are accurate, complete, and timely.
  • Works with team to ensure production goals are met.
  • The Credit Union's professional reputation is maintained and conveyed.
  • Members' problems or questions are courteously and promptly resolved.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Thorough knowledge of member services and products provided.
  • Basic understanding of credit union philosophy and operations.
  • Excellent communication and member service skills.
  • Ability to operate related computer software.
  • Attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Solid math and bookkeeping abilities.
Education and Experience:
  • This position requires registration under the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) as a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO).
  • High school graduate or equivalent level of experience.
  • One to three years of experience at a full-service financial institution.
