Avenue5 Residential is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Mill at First Hill. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance functions, including repairs and preventative maintenance, to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal at our property.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, to ensure the property is safe and well-maintained.
  • Conduct proactive preventative maintenance, including siding, painting, and lighting, to prevent issues and ensure the property remains in excellent condition.
  • Inspect the property grounds, buildings, and common area amenities to identify issues requiring maintenance, repair, or replacement.
  • Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal and other inclement weather emergencies, fires, and floods.
  • Promptly communicate with maintenance leadership concerning all maintenance issues at the property.
  • Observe and promote safety and risk management in accordance with local, federal, state, and company rules and regulations.
  • Participate in emergency on-call/after-hours maintenance assignments; adhering to established response times and addresses emergency issues appropriately.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of experience in the property management industry or directly related field.
  • Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track system.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy.
  • Must comply with all safety requirements.
