Job Overview

As a Process Engineer at Katayama American Company Llc, you will play a crucial role in designing, analyzing, building, and testing machines, systems, structures, and materials to meet the company's objectives and requirements. You will work closely with plant and functional leaders to develop and implement process improvements, ensuring efficiency and productivity in our manufacturing units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer all extrusion engineering processes, evaluate clinical processes and equipment, and assist in their development and management.
  • Assist in the development of business acquisitions and monitor product transfers from R&D to manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with the extrusion engineering team to manufacture components for our organization's businesses and develop new product lines using low-cost manufacturing units.
  • Design equipment and process specifications for manufacturing units and administer all engineering activities.
  • Analyze company processes and products, recommending improvements using optimal extrusion technologies and collaborating with the R&D team to develop and manufacture new products.
  • Design and implement quality and regulatory requirements for projects, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Monitor continuous improvement cycles and process flows, applying lean manufacturing techniques and recommending improvements to manufacturing and business processes.
  • Analyze issues in procedures and resolve structural issues using statistical methods and Six Sigma principles.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, customers, and suppliers at all levels.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, and develop alternative solutions.
  • Strive to continuously build knowledge and skills, sharing expertise with others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated group and individual presentation skills, with the ability to actively participate in meetings.
  • Ability to write legibly and logically to communicate with both internal and external customers.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of the extrusion process and material, combined with good problem-solving skills.
  • Document all extrusion runs and stay updated with current developments in the extrusion field.
