Process Engineer II

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer II to join our team at Amcor Flexibles, LLC. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining safety and improving manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain safety as the top priority in daily responsibilities and develop process improvements for quality, waste, and productivity.
- Support World Class Operations Management implementation and participate in teams and/or pillars.
- Investigate causes of ongoing process, quality, production efficiency, and high waste problems, and develop solutions using problem-solving techniques.
- Train machine operators on new equipment installations, modifications, and operating procedures.
- Maintain standard operating conditions to ensure consistent manufacturing equipment processing conditions.
- Work with plant BPI resources to ensure technical support is available to production at all times.
- Collaborate with manufacturing supervisors, production crews, and maintenance to troubleshoot manufacturing problems and develop corrective actions.
- Participate in project evaluations and waivers to minimize machine downtime and high waste due to developmental efforts.
- Work with plant project engineering to facilitate equipment modifications to increase machine productivity and reduce waste.
- Develop and document procedures to safely increase machine productivity and reduce waste while maintaining product quality.
- Train machine operators on new equipment installations, equipment modifications, and operating procedures.
- May provide supervision to engineering co-op students depending on experience and workload.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial) with 3-5 years of experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- General knowledge of flexible packaging products and quality standards.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects and day-to-day process problems.
- Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Share Point, and ability to quickly learn software needed for job duties.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
