Electrical Engineer Job Description

Wieland Group is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for specifying and implementing automation, operator interfaces, and safety systems in support of manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical projects in a manufacturing environment, including project scope, schedules, budgets, and vendor management.
  • Support engineering project teams on specification, design, preparation, and installation of electrical power, machine control, PLC, and SCADA systems.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical power, machine control, and other PLC and programming systems.
  • Create documentation, including user manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings.
  • Maintain data acquisition, monitoring, and reporting solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between Manufacturing and IT for critical infrastructure and processes.
Requirements:
  • 1-5 years of related job experience.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and HMIs.
  • Knowledge of VFD drives.
  • Microsoft SQL and database management knowledge is preferred.
  • Auto CAD experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC or Siemens, such as TIA portal and SINAMICS, is a plus.
