Job Overview

Salary: Competitive

Objective:

The Heavy Vehicle Technician is tasked with the maintenance and repair of large-scale machinery utilized in construction operations. This role involves working with substantial engines, ensuring thorough inspections, servicing, and addressing any mechanical issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts independent preventative maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy-duty vehicles including Dump Trucks and Lowboys.
  • Performs safety checks and identifies defects in each unit as necessary.
  • Collaborates effectively with a diverse range of individuals, accommodating their needs and requests.

The responsibilities outlined above represent the primary functions of this position and are not an exhaustive list of all tasks that may be assigned.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time (10-hour shifts)
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special occasions as required.
  • Overtime may be necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven mechanical repair experience with heavy trucks and dump trucks.
  • Background in the transportation or trucking sector.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Must have personal tools.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Eligibility to work legally in the United States.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
  • Passing a criminal background check is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Possession of a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
  • Certification in Brake and AC systems.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical issues.
