Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Construction Services Intern. As a Field and Laboratory Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of construction projects, gaining hands-on experience in field and laboratory testing of construction materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field and laboratory testing of construction materials, including soil, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and aggregate.
  • Learn to read and interpret construction specifications and plans.
  • Obtain related certifications for construction materials testing of concrete and soil.
  • Work with our Geotechnical Engineering team conducting subsurface investigations with exploration drilling crews.
Requirements
  • Current college student with concentration studies in building construction, construction technology, construction management, geotechnical/civil/structural engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to complete laboratory and field tests.
  • General understanding of computers and ability to learn and use new software programs.
  • Ability to read and learn to interpret construction specifications and plans.
  • Physical and mental requirements include lifting up to 75 pounds frequently, standing for long periods of time, and moving up and down from kneeling to crouching to bending.
