Position Summary:

SPM Oil & Gas is seeking a Field Service Technician. The Field Service Technician I will be responsible for delivering, installing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing pressure control equipment at customer sites. This entry-level role involves routine tasks that are closely monitored.

Compensation:
Pay begins at $22.00, subject to adjustment based on experience.

Company Vehicles:
Service trucks will be allocated to employees based on qualifications and operational requirements.

Work Schedule:
The standard work week is typically Monday to Friday, with rotating on-call shifts.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional engineering solutions through our products and outstanding customer service.
  • Uphold the core values of SPM Oil and Gas consistently.
  • Adhere to all established policies and procedures safely and without deviation, seeking guidance from management when necessary.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture at all times.
  • Demonstrate integrity and accountability in all actions.
  • Exhibit reliability and a strong work ethic consistently.
  • Participate in the preparation and execution of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Point of Work Risk Assessment (POWRA) on-site, ensuring all duties are performed safely and in compliance with SPM Oil and Gas SHE policies.
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change as required.
  • Assist experienced Field Service Technicians in the safe installation, removal, repair, and servicing of equipment on drilling rigs or well sites.
  • Strive to deliver superior customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain company assets and equipment in accordance with company policies.
  • Learn to accurately prepare field service and sales orders.
  • Represent SPM Oil and Gas positively in field service and sales contexts.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Assist in pre-checking all equipment and processes before job commencement to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Be available for 24-hour on-call service to meet customer needs.
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
  • This role requires the ability to operate a company-issued vehicle.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • One to three months of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be authorized to operate a company vehicle.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • A clean driving record is required, generally defined as:
    • No more than two moving violations within the last 12 months.
    • No more than three moving violations in the past three years.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
Work Environment:
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Noise levels can range from moderate to occasionally severe.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including but not limited to steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses.
