About the Role

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Agent to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in supporting our growing businesses by managing high visibility and high value programs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Procurement Planning
    • Develop comprehensive RFP's and analyze multiple quotes to ensure the best value for our projects.
    • Negotiate and finalize agreements with vendors, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and bills of material.
    • Develop and implement procurement plans, including post-award management and vendor matrix analysis.
  2. Post-Award Procurement Planning and Implementation
    • Transfer bid phase documents and knowledge to project teams, ensuring seamless execution.
    • Engage with project teams on procurement planning and implementation, capturing and communicating market intelligence across projects and programs.
  3. Market Intelligence and Contract Compliance
    • Understand and evaluate current market conditions, including pricing trends, lead times, and logistical requirements.
    • Incorporate market intelligence into procurement plans, identifying best value opportunities and alternative products.
    • Ensure contract compliance, including evolving contract requirements and specifications.
  4. Contract Management and Administration
    • Read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
    • Travel to project sites, manufacturers, and vendors as needed to ensure effective procurement management.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to communicate effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Relevant purchasing experience, including sourcing, negotiating contracts with Original Equipment Manufacturers, construction/specialty trade subcontractors, and fabricators.
  • Proven written and verbal communication abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and ability to apply general rules to specific problems.
