Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Billing Specialist to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication and negotiation abilities, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

This role will involve reviewing new contracts and statements of work, entering data into the Accounting System, and generating bills throughout the month.

The successful candidate will also serve as a liaison between local project managers and headquarters on billing issues, and will be responsible for reconciling monthly bill summaries and answering inquiries related to billing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and enter new contracts and statements of work into the Accounting System
  • Generate bills throughout the month for Fixed Price and standard contracts
  • Reconcile monthly bill summaries and answer inquiries related to billing
  • Serve as a liaison between local project managers and headquarters on billing issues

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of experience with a master's degree; 2-4 years of experience with a bachelor's degree; 6-8 years of experience with an associate's degree or 8-10 years of experience with a high school diploma
  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction
  • Finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms
  • Ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
  • Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
  • Ability to identify and understand the speech of another person

Working Conditions:

This role will involve working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
