Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced technical problem-solving in support of plant operations
  • Responsible for technical decisions and analyses
  • Knowledgeable in electrical, mechanical, and control systems with regard to power plant operations
  • Capable of managing third-party service providers, including contractors and consultants

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering Technology) and 3+ years of plant or related industry experience
  • Understanding of Medium Voltage Systems (4160 and 13,200 volts) and their maintenance
  • Working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of chillers, cooling towers, high-pressure boilers, pumps, air compressors, electrical systems, control systems, and piping systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)
  • Ability to read and interpret underground utility drawings, one-line electrical diagrams, P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation) drawings, architectural, and mechanical drawings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with preventative maintenance management software (CMMS)
  • Some experience with project coordination with various State and County regulatory agencies
  • Central utility plant and Building Automation System (BAS) Controls System Experience
  • Experience with chemical treatment and/or filtration systems
