Role Objectives

The primary focus is to manage the rental and internal sales of both new and pre-owned equipment within the designated branch to meet profit objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive high-volume rental and sales of machinery.
  • Formulate marketing strategies to broaden market reach and enhance MacAllister's business growth.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all clients and buyers.
  • Collaborate with sales coordinators, branch managers, dispatchers, and workshops to ensure all documentation and contracts are complete.
  • Safely and efficiently dispatch trucks to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Maintain a safety-focused work environment both inside and outside the facility.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to incoming customer inquiries.
  • Assist walk-in customers, outside sales representatives, and other departments, coordinating with dispatch to ensure timely completion of rental orders.
  • Support outside sales with quotations and accurate documentation management.
  • Responsible for the opening and closing of the store, including security measures.
Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge and skills typically gained through a high school education with relevant technical training.
  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience is required.
  • Basic math skills equivalent to high school level are necessary.
  • Experience in mechanical troubleshooting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with local areas and the ability to read and interpret maps is beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, non-verbal, listening, and presentation skills are required.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and interpreting policies and procedures are necessary.
  • Leadership qualities such as creative thinking, decision-making, and goal-setting are important.
  • Moderate computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel, as well as database systems.
