The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, with experience in supervising hourly associates and directing work assignments. They will be responsible for in-depth knowledge of production processes and equipment, as well as operational control of the facility.

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Conferring with the Operation Superintendent/Production Manager to manage production functions and recommend process improvements.
  • Analyzing and resolving employee-related issues, while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Interpreting company policies and procedures, and enforcing rules and regulations.
  • Completing and maintaining necessary production-related paperwork, data, checklists, reports, and scoreboards.
  • Developing and implementing the hourly employee production schedule on a weekly basis.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Production Management or equivalent experience.
  • Two to five years of relative experience in a supervisory or similar position, preferably in the baking industry.
  • Knowledgeable in applicable union contracts and able to manage day-to-day responsibilities while abiding by union contract language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective development and counseling of subordinates, training, orienting, and motivating employees in procedures, policies, methods, and operations of equipment.
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with managers, peers, and subordinates.
