### Job Summary

The Executive Director of the Blakely Advocacy Institute oversees and directs the courses, programs, and activities associated with the Institute at the University of Houston Law Center.

### Key Responsibilities

* Supervise and train law students participating in the Law Center's interscholastic competition programs
* Collaborate with competition head coaches to provide guidance and training for domestic and international competitions
* Plan, schedule, and administer classes offered by the Blakely Advocacy Institute
* Initiate, plan, and implement special events, including the Andrews Kurth Moot Court National Championship and Symposium
* Administer and coordinate global reach development initiatives
* Direct and manage program administration and operation, including budgeting and staff supervision
* Lead outreach and fundraising efforts within the legal community
* Collaborate with the Law Center Dean, Faculty, and Staff to develop strategic plans and initiatives

### Qualifications

* Doctoral degree and 7 years of experience
* Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or the highest level of general business knowledge
* Requires a minimum of 7 years of directly job-related experience

### Additional Information

* The J.D. degree is a required terminal degree for the position's educational requirement
* Prior experience gained in a law firm, JD preferred position, or other legal position doing activities such as training, advising, supervising, and mentoring junior attorneys will be considered as job-related experience

### Work Arrangements
