POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Equipment Sales Account Executive is tasked with enhancing revenue, increasing market presence, and driving profitability. This role involves cultivating lasting, profitable relationships with clients while promoting our brand. The focus will be on driving sales of both new and pre-owned equipment, parts, services, and rentals within the designated territory to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Identify, engage, and present tailored solutions to clients for our product lines.
2. Establish and nurture relationships with target businesses to influence their capital equipment purchasing decisions.
3. Enhance profitability with current and prospective accounts through the sale of additional equipment, parts, services, and rentals.
4. Consistently engage in cold calling to generate new business opportunities.
5. Maintain comprehensive account profiles and prepare necessary sales reports.
6. Achieve or surpass designated market share and profitability targets.
7. Develop and execute a proactive prospecting strategy to uncover and capitalize on sales opportunities.
8. Promote all equipment offerings to both new and existing clients within assigned accounts and regions.
9. Improve professional delivery by continuously enhancing product knowledge and interpersonal skills.
10. Participate in company-sponsored events and industry trade shows.
11. Stay informed about new products, services, competitor activities, and market trends.
12. Perform additional related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential Skills & Competencies:
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong sales leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Solid financial acumen, including understanding the capital buying process, analytical skills, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Comprehensive knowledge of systems, procedures, techniques, equipment, operations, standards, and reports relevant to the branch.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Experience & Education:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in selling complex products, preferably in warehouse equipment.
- In-depth understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and logistics.
- Thorough knowledge of supply chain management principles, including inbound and outbound logistics.
- Demonstrated success in designing, quoting, and closing sales of equipment and related products.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel requirements: less than 10% out of town.
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
