Position Overview:

We are in search of two skilled and motivated Senior Product Developers. One role will focus on enhancing product innovation for WeCool Toys, collaborating closely with our creative team.

This position is responsible for strategizing, developing, and launching products in key categories such as Lighting, Toys, and Collectibles, aimed at driving business growth.

The Senior Product Developer will pinpoint new opportunities, ensuring product innovation, brand alignment, commercial viability, and exceptional quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Innovation & Trends

  • Utilize data and research to identify trends and plan new product lines.
  • Generate innovative concepts for new products, ensuring they are commercially viable and effectively presenting them through sketches and models.
  • Ensure that product and packaging designs are on-trend and align with the brand ethos.

Idea Generation & Communication

  • Facilitate creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Translate market research and feedback into cohesive and functional designs that meet budget and timeline requirements.
  • Create product concepts to effectively communicate ideas to customers and licensors.

Market Research

  • Conduct regular competitor analysis to assess strengths and weaknesses, presenting findings to the team.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify growth opportunities.
  • Identify regional market gaps with potential for expansion.

Product Development Process

  • Possess a deep understanding of product development processes in the toy industry.
  • Oversee product development and approval processes, collaborating with design and supply chain teams.
  • Create detailed specifications for manufacturing.

Critical Path Management

  • Ensure timely product launches by managing critical paths and mitigating potential delays.

Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement enhancements to departmental processes to drive efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in the toy industry and product development lifecycle.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with Far East manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with licensed products is advantageous.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
