Logistics Drayage Role

Company Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the drayage operations of shipments from the receipt of Arrival Notices to the generation of delivery work orders.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with drayage carriers, ensuring effective communication during emergencies.
  • Evaluate and monitor select Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), including drayage carriers and rail companies.
  • Track customer service objectives and implement solutions to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Prepare monthly reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to drayage deliveries.
  • Develop tools for monitoring shipments and reporting outcomes to management.
  • Analyze data to troubleshoot and resolve shipment movement issues.
  • Conduct ad-hoc reporting as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
  • In-depth knowledge of international transportation and freight forwarding practices.
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to make swift decisions and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.

Compensation: $23-$26/hr (Junior Level) / $27-$32/hr (Senior Level)
