Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Siemens Healthineers in Danville, Pennsylvania. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in humans.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures that require a high degree of independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides.
  • Receive and care for patients during clinical procedures, verifying patient identification and reviewing orders for procedures to be performed.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations, maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients.
  • Obtain pertinent patient history and check for procedural contradictions, ensuring accurate and effective care.
  • Maintain and operate auxiliary equipment necessary for procedures, communicating effectively with patients and families.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, selecting and administering the proper radionuclide/medication by the proper route and in the appropriate dosage.
  • Prepare proper instruments, computers, and imaging protocols as indicated by departmental procedure manuals.
  • Understand and implement ALARA measures in performance of clinical duties, evaluating image appearance and performing additional views as required.
  • Process and evaluate computer-generated data, obtaining samples for non-imaging studies and preparing and administering interventional pharmacologic agents as directed by protocol.
  • Maintain sterile technique as required, performing imaging, non-imaging, function studies, and therapeutic exams according to established departmental protocols.
  • Ensure patient security during movement from one device to another, or from the standing or sitting position to the imaging table.
Requirements:
  • Certification Program - Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine technology school
  • 1-year nuclear medicine experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry
  • ARRT (CT)
  • CPR and ARRT(N) registered and/or NMTCB registered.
