We are seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach Arabic language and culture courses at the University of New Hampshire. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in Arabic linguistics, literature, or culture, or a closely related field, and superior proficiency in Arabic. Previous experience teaching Arabic language and culture at the college level is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
The adjunct instructor will be responsible for teaching Arabic 401: Elementary Arabic I and Arabic 503: Intermediate Arabic I, as well as potentially two additional courses in Spring Semester 2025, pending need and performance. The instructor will also be responsible for developing and implementing course materials, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to students.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a master's degree in Arabic or a closely related field, and superior proficiency in Arabic. A Ph.D. in Arabic or a closely related field, and experience teaching Arabic at the college level, are preferred. The candidate must also be able to pass a background check and provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
