We are seeking an experienced Adjunct Instructor to join our Esthetics Department at Durham Technical Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching esthetics courses, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach esthetics courses, including theory, techniques, and terminology
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and industry
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development of esthetics programs

Requirements
  • Current North Carolina Esthetics Instructor License or Cosmetology Instructor License
  • Current North Carolina Esthetics License or Cosmetologist License
  • Ability to demonstrate manicuring practical skills and teach disciplines of esthetics

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of instructional theory and basic education principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage work assignments in a highly interpersonal contact environment

Working Conditions
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to move between classrooms, buildings, and campuses
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas
  • Ability to lift, at times, 10 lbs.
