About the Role:
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a vital member of our team at AHRC Suffolk, providing essential support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in our Day Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and provide supports to individuals in our program to promote their independence and well-being.
- Enable individuals to achieve their goals and participate in community activities, fostering social inclusion and relationship building.
- Provide habilitative services to individuals in the community, promoting their skills and abilities.
- Complete documentation electronically as required, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Drive the agency van, safely transporting individuals to and from activities.
Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid NYS Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to learn and utilize relevant agency computer applications.
