Job Title: Lifeguard

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Lifeguard to join our team at Beaufort County. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our patrons and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Instruct any level of class needed in aquatics specialty
  • Prepare course objectives, plans lessons, selects appropriate drills, and evaluates students and course
  • Work in specialized area of recreation under general supervision
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in high school
  • One (1) year experience in aquatics (swimming instruction, water safety instruction, life guarding, first aid, CPR)
  • Valid Lifeguard certification, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certifications from the American Red Cross
  • Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required
  • Valid driver's license
