Aquatic Recreation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Aquatic Recreation Specialist to join our team at Beaufort County. As a Lifeguard Instructor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of pool patrons while performing lifeguarding duties and instructing all levels of aquatic classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform lifeguarding duties and respond to emergencies
  • Instruct aquatic classes, including swimming instruction and water safety
  • Prepare course objectives, plans lessons, and evaluates students and courses
  • Ensure the safety of pool patrons and maintain a clean and organized facility

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in aquatics, including lifeguarding, swimming instruction, and water safety
  • Valid Certified Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certifications
  • Valid driver's license
