Surgical Nurse Specialist

At Memorial Health University Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team. As a Registered Nurse - Gastrointestinal Care, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical center.
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Gastrointestinal Care will be responsible for providing professional surgical nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This includes preparing patients for procedures, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs. You will work closely with our surgical team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance in emergency procedures, as well as elective and scheduled cases
- Work alongside surgical teams to ensure that patients receive the best possible care
- Serve as a liaison between the surgical team and patients' families
- Organize supplies needed for patients
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care in producing the desired patient outcomes and make adjustments as indicated
Requirements:
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate degree in Nursing or higher is required
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
- Minimum of 1-year previous experience of nursing is required
