Position: AI Language Model Engineer

Location: Remote

We are seeking a talented AI Language Model Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing advanced NLP/NLU models, including transformer architectures (such as BERT and GPT), for various language comprehension tasks, including text generation, sentiment analysis, and entity recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
  • Prepare and refine textual datasets through cleaning, tokenization, and augmentation techniques to facilitate the training of NLP/NLU models.
  • Innovate and apply state-of-the-art algorithms to boost the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of NLP/NLU systems.
  • Evaluate model performance using relevant NLP metrics and optimize for practical applications.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Generative AI, particularly in NLP/NLU research, and integrate new methodologies to improve our offerings.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in NLP/NLU, focusing on deep learning models and open-source LLMs such as Llama 2 and Falcon.
  • Exhibit proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python, and experience with NLP libraries/frameworks like spaCy, NLTK, and Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Utilize cloud computing platforms for model training and deployment.
  • Leverage tools such as Langchain, Embedchain, and Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Milvus, ChromaDB, Vespa) to enhance data processing and model development workflows, alongside a solid understanding of vector stores and search algorithms.
  • Possess exceptional problem-solving skills and the capability to tackle complex language understanding and Generative AI projects.
  • Design control and sandboxing systems for AI research.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Have direct engineering experience with high-performance, large-scale machine learning systems.
  • Show hands-on MLOps experience, with a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end CI/CD process.
  • Support fast-paced startup engineering teams effectively.
  • Contribute to bug bounty and responsible disclosure programs.
  • Be an active contributor to open-source projects, consistently innovating and standardizing methods for API creation, ML/Ops automation, and more.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Research publications or contributions in NLP, NLU, and Generative AI.
  • Experience with Conversational AI technologies, including chatbots and related platforms.
