Job Title: Paramedic

International SOS is a leading medical and security services company seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our clients and their employees.

Job Summary:

The Paramedic will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect clinical care to patients. This will involve working as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care, advocating for patients and their families, and utilizing evidence-based medical practice to manage unexpected and emergent situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist medical providers with medical procedures and treatments as allowed within licensed scope of work.
  • Assessment and documentation of patient vital signs, chief complaint, medical history, and prescribed medications.
  • Establish observable and documentable patient goals using care plans within protocols.
  • Report all changes in patient conditions to medical providers.
  • Proactively and independently administer basic care, including inserting catheters with blood specimen collection, urine collection, and EKGs.
  • Assist patients with basic care and activities of daily living, as needed.
  • Provides support and education to help patients make responsible health decisions.
  • Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies.
  • Cross-train to work within clinics, emergency rooms, and inpatient units.
  • Participate in on-call rotation schedule as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of paramedic experience.
  • Experience in a clinic setting (urgent care, emergency room, etc.).
  • Current and unrestricted license from Ohio.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • American Heart Association - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification is preferred.
Physical Demands:

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. May require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs.

Other Special Qualifications:

Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
