About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Training Program Manager to lead our Healthcare Skills Training programs. This is a full-time, exempt position that reports directly to our Senior Healthcare Skills Instructor.

Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and modifying contextualized curriculum and daily lesson plans for academic and/or job skill training programs, delivering training to participants, evaluating progress and skill attainment of individual participants on a scheduled basis, tracking outcomes, incorporating the JVS core skills into delivery of the program's curriculum, and creating documents for submission to various stakeholders. The incumbent will also be an active participant with funders or evaluators, employers, and an active member of the skills training team contributing programmatic outcomes.

Essential Functions
The Healthcare Training Program Manager will have several key responsibilities including:
  1. Teaching several Pharmacy Technician training classes that are already established.
  2. Administering frequent cumulative tests, quizzes, and exams, and modifying teaching strategies utilizing certification requirements to focus on areas of deficiency.
  3. Delivering Central Sterile Processing training content.
  4. Meeting program goals and outcomes, such as establishing, tracking, and reporting on participant certification exam success, academic success, and student satisfaction.
  5. Incorporating core competencies like study skills, organizational skills, time management, test taking, computer skills, soft skills, and critical thinking into all lessons.
  6. Supporting students with enhancing their professional communication skills (written and verbal).
  7. Establishing professional and collaborative relationships and with key stakeholders (participants, employers, partner organizations, funders).

Accountability and Results Focused
The Healthcare Training Program Manager will be accountable for engaging students through clear and supportive communication, setting course and professional behavior expectations at the start of the cohort, tracking and meeting program enrollment, retention, skill attainment, client satisfaction goals, and ensuring students meet programmatic skill gains and outcomes.

Administrative/Communication Skills
The Healthcare Training Program Manager will demonstrate strong administrative and communication skills, including communicating regularly with the supervisor to ensure smooth delivery of services, resolving disagreements and conflict in a professional and productive manner, evaluating student progress on a regular basis, providing students with feedback regarding performance in class, and addressing any obstacles that may be impeding progress.

Educational Requirements and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Education, Math, Science, or a related field, preferably with experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). A minimum of 2-3 years of workplace or related training/teaching experience is required, along with knowledge of adult learning theory, pharmacy technician scope of duties, and sterile processing procedures. Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, written and oral communication skills, and ability to work in a diverse environment are essential. Additional qualifications include demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills, strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
