About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Assembler to join our team at Baxter. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth production of our life-saving products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the work of production employees to meet production expectations and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Maintain contact with customer departments to address any product or process issues that may impact customer satisfaction.
  • Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing operations through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, six sigma methodologies, and other process improvements.
  • Control and execute production shift schedules, working with support departments to address any issues that may arise.
  • Identify and address production issues in a timely manner to minimize their impact on production schedules and operations.
  • Assign workers to workstations to meet production requirements and ensure adherence to specifications, GMPs, and GDPs.
  • Follow quality procedures to identify and address regulatory and operational issues.
  • Document and record regulatory requirements in batch folders.
  • Monitor production and adjust work assignments, supply of materials, and machine operation as needed.
  • Optimize product and material flow to meet daily build plans.
  • Assist in updating procedures for processes according to regulations, internal and corporate procedures, and Baxter specifications and policies.
  • Enforce company policies and safety regulations with subordinates.
  • Ensure adherence to GMPs, GDPs, and EHS requirements in areas of responsibility.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and investigations to address safety, quality, and productivity issues.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 6 months lead experience.
  • Manufacturing or pharma experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with mechanical, electrical equipment, and troubleshooting of problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of corporate specifications and plant standard operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of Bill of Material process.
  • Good documentation practices and strong interpersonal skills.
