We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Assembler to join our team at Baxter. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth production of our life-saving products.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the work of production employees to meet production expectations and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
- Maintain contact with customer departments to address any product or process issues that may impact customer satisfaction.
- Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing operations through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, six sigma methodologies, and other process improvements.
- Control and execute production shift schedules, working with support departments to address any issues that may impact production.
- Identify and address issues in a timely manner to minimize their impact on production.
- Assign workers to workstations to meet production requirements and ensure adherence to specifications, GMPs, and GDPs.
- Follow quality procedures to identify and address regulatory and operational issues.
- Document and record regulatory requirements in the batch folder.
- Monitor production and adjust work assignments, supply of materials, and machine operation as needed.
- Optimize product and material flow to meet daily build plans.
- Assist in updating procedures for your process according to regulations, internal and corporate procedures, and Baxter specifications and policies.
- Enforce company policies and safety regulations with subordinates.
- Ensure adherence to GMPs, GDPs, and EHS requirements in your areas of responsibility.
- Assist in root cause analysis and investigations to address safety, quality, and productivity issues.
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of 6 months lead experience.
- Manufacturing or pharma experience strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with mechanical, electrical equipment, and troubleshooting of problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of corporate specifications and plant standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge of Bill of Material process.
- Good documentation practices and strong interpersonal skills.
