Job Summary

CATHEXIS is seeking a highly skilled Senior Military Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Resource and Program Integration team, you will provide financial analysis and audit support to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness (OUSD P&R).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and budgeting support to OUSD(P&R) leadership, including analysis of prior year expenditures and identification of areas for improvement.
  • Support audit functions through analysis of transactions, determination of MIPR status, de-obligation of funds, and identification and storage of supporting documentation.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to provide visibility into current year expenditures and identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices in financial management.
  • Provide support to DoD's annual audits, including the annual Statement of Assurance (SoA) and the Military Retirement Fund (MRF).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years of DoD/Military Accounting and Finance experience.
  • Experience with standard MS Office suite products, including Excel and Pivot tables.
  • Experience with Federal ERP systems, such as DAI or GFEBS.
  • Ability to work responsibly and independently with minimal direct supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience with SharePoint and CATMS.
  • Familiarity with ADVANA and the Military Retirement Fund.
