Job Title: Staff Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Civil Engineer to join our Phoenix, Arizona Geo-Civil team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the design of regional mine sites, power plants, and dams, including stockpiles, impoundments, tailing dams, and water dams.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the design of regional mine sites, power plants, and dams, including conceptual layouts, designs, and calculations/analyses for channels, culverts, headwalls, detention ponds, operating ponds, spillways, rock drains, check dams, and haulage/access/circulation roads.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, quantity and cost estimates, and alternative assessments.
  • Prepare drafts of portions of technical proposals, reports, regulatory agency permits, and less complex external and internal documents.
  • Design channels and energy dissipation structures that include concrete, riprap, articulated concrete block, fabric-formed concrete, and baffle blocks for erosion control.
  • Coordinate and integrate civil design with results from geotechnical, structural, mechanical, and electrical designs.
  • Develop tangible engineering design skills through periodic field experience, including construction support, site inspections, and geotechnical investigations.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Civil Engineering + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Valid US Driver's License.
  • Strong technical progression within Civil Engineering and Design.
  • Experience using and designing with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Ability to travel.
  • EIT Certification is strongly preferred.
  • PE preferred.
  • Experience in mining, dams, and power sectors is a plus.
