Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our patient-centered Behavioral Health team at Memorial Satilla Health. As a key member of our interdependent team, you will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan to achieve positive patient and departmental outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions.
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.
  • Collect data through observation and communicate information to assist the RN and/or provider in patient assessment and care planning.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of group effectiveness by exchanging information, collaborating with other team members, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Help develop team cohesiveness by offering assistance to team members and aligning individual work efforts to meet work unit and organizational goals for service excellence.
Requirements:
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing.
  • Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state in which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State LPN license.
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
