As a Healthcare Cost Management Strategy Consultant, you will spearhead the development and implementation of the Operating Model for strategic initiatives aimed at delivering sustainable value and enhanced cost efficiency in care. This role involves leading the creation and oversight of programs, collaborating with essential stakeholders to ensure comprehensive execution of strategic initiatives, and recommending improvements for better integration into the overarching Trend Management Operating Model.

Work Environment: remote

This position requires leveraging extensive experience in strategic advancement and operational transformation to dissect complex business challenges using data from both internal and external sources. You will identify and engage subject matter experts to support cross-functional efforts, interpreting data to formulate actionable recommendations that provide significant value to the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the broader Medical Cost Management team, including Trend intelligence, activation, and governance, to facilitate a cohesive end-to-end Trend Management Operating Model
  • Develop and oversee an Operational Plan framework for long-term strategic trend initiatives, ensuring transparency in progress and regular updates to leadership
  • Design and implement a pilot initiative that establishes a single point of accountability for critical components of trend performance, enhancing comprehensive performance monitoring and long-term strategy formulation
  • Lead the Medical Cost Management Strategy Development Operating Model and oversee related activities (e.g., Trend Summits & Goal-Setting sessions)
  • Manage Trend Enterprise Independency with prioritized enterprise partners, including IT, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Risk, and Procurement
  • Facilitate collaboration among matrixed enterprise teams to address program needs and resource constraints, ensuring timely execution
  • Develop and present data-driven insights to senior leadership, influencing strategic Trend decision-making and aligning initiatives with organizational objectives
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to promote communication, transparency, and alignment, while managing expectations effectively
  • Support executive-level communications and reporting to provide clear and timely insights to stakeholders across the organization

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in strategy execution, operational transformation, and/or Trend Management
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and achieve results
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience in crafting and delivering presentations to executive audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration and enhance performance in a cross-functional setting; adept at managing diverse personalities and leadership levels
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with a keen attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Employer Group Trend, Clinical Trend, Pharmacy Trend, Retail Trend, or STARS
  • Background in program management

Compensation Range

The salary range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment. The actual pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications. $112,400 - $154,900 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
