Position: AmeriCorps Program Manager

We provide a range of services including financial education, tax assistance, counseling, and advocacy aimed at fostering financial resilience.

The AmeriCorps Program Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the AmeriCorps NCCC Tax Help volunteers during the tax season and managing the daily operations of the AmeriCorps program at GreenPath. This position oversees a team of ten to sixteen AmeriCorps VISTA members and is instrumental in the recruitment and management of volunteers. The manager is also responsible for identifying nonprofit and government agency Sponsor Sites and Tax Sites that require volunteer support to enhance their capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all reporting for AmeriCorps projects, provide program support, and assess volunteer performance.
  2. Collaborate in the recruitment and coordination of VISTA, VITA, and TCE tax volunteers.
  3. Annually recruit necessary Sponsor Sites and volunteer members as per grant requirements.
  4. Manage the application process for Sponsor Sites and volunteer recruitment, ensuring the selection of suitable candidates.
  5. Offer guidance, mentoring, and training to volunteers throughout the state, helping them develop essential skills.
  6. Evaluate volunteer performance and make decisions regarding continuation or termination of service.
  7. Provide training and technical assistance to ensure effective collaboration between Tax and Sponsor Sites and volunteers.
  8. Prepare public presentations about volunteering opportunities with GreenPath and promote our mission.
  9. Assist in grant writing and reporting to relevant federal agencies.
  10. Stay informed about trends and developments in the field.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Associate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in volunteer leadership, recruitment, or project management.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including database management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in national service or nonprofit volunteer development is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Additional Information:

  • Projected Salary: $42,000-$45,000.
  • Full-time employees receive 19 paid days off in their first year, plus 10 paid holidays.
  • Eligible employees can contribute to a 403b and benefit from a 401(a) Profit Sharing Plan.
  • GreenPath is a qualified employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
