Job Summary

This position provides high-level assistance to members as the first critical contact. The primary responsibility is scheduling appointments through complex appointment making applications, transferring calls appropriately, composing messages and providing general information. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate in a high-volume, highly structured environment by responding to incoming calls, applying critical thinking to complex guidelines, and using multiple call center specific systems.
  • Determine the type of appointment requested or needed, review scheduling mix of various physicians/providers, and make appointments following established guidelines.
  • Prioritize member needs and offer alternatives when necessary.
  • Utilize superior customer service skills to provide service to members during difficult encounters.
  • Transfer urgent/emergent calls to Registered Nurses as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience - 1 year customer service experience in a service-related industry, preferably healthcare. Education - High school graduate or GED equivalent. License, Certification, Registration - N/A. Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum based on location and experience. Additional Requirements: All testing must be completed by the end of the posting period.
