Position Overview: As a vital member of our team, the Public Area Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive guest experience at our dual-branded La Quinta and Hawthorn Extended Stay property. This select service hotel features 125 rooms, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, meeting spaces, and a breakfast buffet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of drink and vending machines and surrounding areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and ashtrays in corridors and public spaces.
- Clean outdoor walkways, stairways, landings, railings, and EXIT doors.
- Sanitize public restrooms and wash windows according to the established schedule.
- Clean elevators, tracks, chrome, and stainless steel surfaces.
- Spot-clean walls and doors, remove cobwebs, and clean fire extinguishers.
- Wipe down baseboards, railings, phones, and vending areas.
- Collect soiled linens from room attendants and deliver them to the designated area.
- Vacuum corridors and shampoo carpets as needed.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness in storage areas and linen rooms.
- Support housekeepers in checking supplies and organizing storage.
- Deliver cribs and rollaway beds to guest rooms.
- Patrol pool areas, clean tables, and maintain workout facilities.
- Wear protective equipment as provided by the property.
- Complete maintenance work order forms to report issues.
- Assist Front Desk staff as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience is advantageous.
- Strong reading and communication skills are essential.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.
