Facilities Maintenance Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance and Custodial Worker to join our team at the Mount Laurel Township School District. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our schools, as well as performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and repairing broken furniture.
- Assist with special events and projects, such as setup and teardown of equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the efficient operation of facilities.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
