Job Summary:

The Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to our staff, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, installing and configuring new equipment, and maintaining our computer systems. You will also be responsible for providing training and documentation to our staff on the use of our computer systems and software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to staff, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
  • Install and configure new equipment, including computers, printers, and other peripherals
  • Maintain our computer systems, including updating software and hardware, and performing regular backups
  • Provide training and documentation to staff on the use of our computer systems and software
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to resolve complex technical issues
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in desktop support, or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical skills, including knowledge of Windows and Macintosh operating systems, and experience with hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft, Apple, and/or A+ certification
  • Experience with configuration management, JAMF, Code42, Crowdstrike, PhishLine, DNS, and Active Directory
  • Experience with documentation, training, creating presentations, and web technologies
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and one scripting language
