Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Operator to join our team at Airgas. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating equipment to handle and produce packaged gas cylinders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload gas cylinders and/or other products onto and off of route trucks and trailers.
  • Sort empty cylinders by type and roll cylinders for movement on pallets.
  • Operate a forklift truck to move cylinders on pallets and understand hazards of various gases.
  • Accurately label cylinders and handle high-pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders.
  • Perform basic cylinder maintenance, inspect cylinders prior to filling, and conduct safety checks.
  • Manage paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards and maintain a neat and clean work area.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of prior experience in a manufacturing operation, filling or loading experience preferred.
  • Strong background in gas, welding, and safety supply industry or chemical industry preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people and excellent customer service skills.
