The Vascular Care Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team in a per-diem capacity. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our vascular office-based lab.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Critical Care Nurse to provide nursing services in our vascular office-based lab setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Collaboration and Communication
- Work collaboratively with clinical leadership to ensure seamless patient care and efficient lab operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Patient Care
- Provide high-quality patient care, including pre-procedure preparation, procedure support, and post-procedure follow-up.
- Ensure patient safety and well-being by maintaining accurate records, adhering to infection control protocols, and reporting any concerns to clinical leadership.
- Lab Operations
- Assist with daily operations, including reviewing scheduled cases, maintaining infection control, stocking medications and supplies, and ensuring adequate staffing.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient lab environment, adhering to AAAASF standards and regulations.
- Quality Assurance
- Participate in the management of our Quality Assurance Program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Other Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as directed by clinical leadership, ensuring alignment with the goals and objectives of The Vascular Care Group.
- Education and Certification
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, minimum of BSN.
- Registered as a nurse in the state of Massachusetts.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an ICU or ED setting.
- PACU experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and move efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to use computerized systems and devices, including our department's electronic health record system.
