Job Summary:

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, providing individualized care and attention to detail.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and make informed decisions.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of evidence-based practices and policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and research, applying knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Current MA RN license
  • Current Emergency Department Nursing experience required
  • American Heart Association - Basic Life Support & ACLS Certification required
  • Demonstrates clinically competent assessment skills; demonstrates ability to perform under stressful situations; proven leader; demonstrated problem solver and excellent organizational skills; communicates effectively; demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with evidence of completion of critical care course or equivalent or demonstration of previous experience with cardiac drips, conscious sedation or other critical activities.
  • TNCC, CEN, Defibrillation Cert. preferred.
  • Will consider EMS experience (Paramedic, EMT).
