Job Title: Assistant General Manager

At Goldfish Swim School, we're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and control the daily operations of the swim school, ensuring compliance with our standard operating procedures.
  • Assist the General Manager and department managers in fulfilling daily tasks and achieving business objectives.
  • Manage a team of staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Train and oversee the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to our students.
  • Interact with Deck Supervisors and Golden Teachers on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service, and employee performance and training.
  • Provide sales and marketing training to all qualified sales staff.
  • Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures that pertain to the GSS facility and train all current staff on the GSS EAP.
  • Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider required.
  • Two or more years of management experience preferred. Two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred.
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and first aid certification required. Shallow water attendant highly recommended.
Work Environment:

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
